Diabetes Endocrinology Consultant Physician Position

Job Title: Consultant Diabetes Endocrinology General Medicine
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine to join our expanding team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality services in Diabetes and Endocrinology, working closely with existing consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
Main Responsibilities:
• Providing a comprehensive diabetes and endocrine service to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management. • Participating in the acute medical take, in partnership with acute physicians, to ensure seamless care delivery. • Developing and implementing sub-specialty services to enhance diabetic and endocrine services locally. • Collaborating with other consultants and teams to achieve shared goals and improve patient outcomes. • Maintaining GMC registration and adhering to professional standards and guidelines. • Contributing to the development of the service, including job planning, training, and education.
Person Specification:
- Full GMC registration and inclusion in the specialist register for Diabetes and Endocrinology, and General Medicine.
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent.
- MB BS or equivalent, with a higher specialist training program in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
- At least 2 years' substantive NHS experience at SPR level or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in developing diabetes and endocrine services, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
