CNC Miller/Programmer Job Description

Pertemps is seeking a skilled CNC Miller/Programmer to join a well-established business in North Birmingham. As a CNC Miller/Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and setting up computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metal and plastic parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop CNC programmes for vertical XYZ milling machines.
  • Design and develop tooling and fixtures needed for smooth production.
  • Conduct quality inspections of parts to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Assist other team members and departments as needed.
  • Utilize logic controllers to adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using Siemens programming systems for CNC milling machines.
  • Knowledge of other programming systems such as Fanuc and Mazatrol is a plus.
  • Ability to impart knowledge on apprentice CNC setters.
  • Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC equipment.
