Game Developer

At Warner Bros. Discovery, we're a team of storytellers, creators, and dreamers working together to bring our characters to life. We're looking for a talented Game Developer to join our team and help us create the next big thing in gaming.

About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Game Developer to work on our major IP-based LEGO game built in Unreal. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for engineering reusable modular game systems, creating fun enemy AI, Party AI, and Boss AI, and making the game FUN. You'll work closely with animators, artists, and designers to ensure that our game is engaging and enjoyable for players.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement game systems, including AI, physics, and graphics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of game features
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests
  • Provide estimates for complex programming tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Analyze design documents for risk and provide creative solutions

Requirements
  • Fluent in object-oriented C++ with strong debugging and documentation skills
  • Strong 3D math and physics skills
  • Demonstrable experience in the games industry
  • Unreal experience on at least one released game (bonus points)
  • A good degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or a related subject
