About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Game Developer to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our Game Programming team, you will be responsible for creating engaging gameplay experiences for our young gamers and their families.

As a Game Developer, you will work closely with designers, artists, and animators to engineer reusable modular game systems, develop AI systems, and ensure the game is fun and engaging. You will be expected to write high-quality code, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure the game's functionality and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement gameplay mechanics and systems
  • Develop AI systems for enemies, parties, and bosses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure game quality and performance
  • Write and maintain high-quality code, unit tests, and integration tests
  • Provide estimates for complex programming tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills in C++ with experience in game development
  • Excellent debugging and documentation skills
  • Strong understanding of 3D math and physics
  • Experience in the games industry with multiple released titles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Good degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or related field
