As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and reporting services to the organization. This includes budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, as well as making key business decisions for new initiatives. You will also oversee general accounting for income and expenditure, including cash management, and assist in the preparation of statutory financial accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fixed assets and capital accounting.
  • Costing of investigations and activities.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial analysis and reporting.
  • Supporting the Senior Accountant in financial matters and system development as necessary.

In carrying out these duties, you will be responsible for ensuring that procedures and controls are applied in accordance with the Finance Manual, and that performance targets are met. You will also be expected to provide high-quality services in accordance with the customer service standards of the corporate services directorate.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend or become permanent. The salary is competitive, with a market-leading pension plan.
