About the Role


Tesco is seeking an experienced leader to join its Distribution Centre Management Team as a Warehouse Service Team Manager. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing your team's performance, supporting the end-to-end supply chain process, and prioritizing seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales within stores. You will also work collaboratively with the Warehouse Service Team and Shift Managers/Duty Managers to maintain operating procedures at the highest level and focus on providing excellent service to stores.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Manage a team of colleagues to deliver accurate and efficient Warehouse Service routines, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Support the end-to-end supply chain process by working collaboratively with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Prioritize and deliver seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales within stores.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Service Team and Shift Managers/Duty Managers to maintain operating procedures at the highest level.
  • Lead your team to work productively, coaching, supporting, and sharing best practices to ensure they meet or exceed their targets.
  • Focus your team on delivering accurate goods to stores, improving product availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet the needs of your team members by using people routines and delivering great leadership.
  • Deliver all operational routines, making decisions that prioritize customer needs.
  • Operate in partnership with the Distribution Centre Management team, serving as a role model for excellence.
  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement, establishing root causes and implementing corrective measures.
  • Deliver exceptional standards across all operational areas of the Warehouse.
  • Provide a strong presence among colleagues, being proactive in problem-solving and coaching them in real-time.
  • Work closely with the Delivery Service Team to ensure successful transport planning.
  • Make management-level decisions as referred by Warehouse Service Coordinators, focusing on customer and business needs.
  • Adhere to Tesco's Business Code of Conduct and Data Protection Law, demonstrating integrity and due diligence in all actions.
