Legado Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Tax and Trust Executive to join our team in Chichester. As a senior appointment, this role will incorporate extensive trust administration and accounting, with a focus on tax work, including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit trust and estate tax returns, including related tax calculations using IRIS software.
- Manage client correspondence, HM Revenue & Customs, and third-party interactions as required.
- Monitor and meet deadlines for trust and estate tax returns, including ten-yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
- Prepare trust accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with day-to-day client administration and provide ad-hoc advisory services.
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior staff members.
- A suitable professional qualification, such as STEP, ATT, or CTA.
- Significant experience (2+ years) in a private client or trust department, with a client-facing role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proactive and ambitious, with a willingness to challenge in the best interest of the client.
- IT literate, with experience using case management and tax software (IRIS).
This is a full-time position, working 9am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday, in our Chichester office.
