Head of Cash Flow Management

We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to join our team in Rochdale. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in shaping and improving our credit control processes.
Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of the credit control function, ensuring efficient collections and maintaining strong relationships with customers. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure credit policies align with commercial goals and provide insights on credit risks.
You will have a strong background in credit control, including at least two years' experience in a management/team leader role. You should have solid knowledge of credit risk, collections procedures, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient credit processes across departments.
- Monitor outstanding balances and address overdue payments proactively.
- Set and review customer credit limits and payment terms, aligning them with company policies.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate credit systems with broader business functions.
- Partner with sales teams to ensure credit policies align with commercial goals and provide insights on credit risks.
- Lead and develop the credit control team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Support non-finance stakeholders by improving their understanding of credit-related procedures.
Requirements:
- A strong background in credit control, including at least two years' experience in a management/team leader role.
- Solid knowledge of credit risk, collections procedures, and financial controls.
- Demonstrable experience improving systems and driving process change.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-led approach to decision-making.
- Proven leadership ability, with a track record of coaching and developing a high-performing team.
