About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Volunteer to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a valued member of our Healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the promotion of healthier lifestyles and harm reduction interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursing Team in outreach visits and assessments within the community and service users' homes.
  • Provide naloxone and associated training within our partner services and community hubs.
  • Support clinics by working with clients to prepare them for medical reviews, including taking blood pressure, screening for substances, and discussing expectations.
  • Carry out COPD screening and help support access to our syringe exchange scheme.
  • Participate in the day-to-day delivery of health and wellbeing interventions, following full training.
  • Support the facilitation and delivery of blood-borne virus screening and vaccinations.
  • Work closely with staff and partner agencies to support service users in accessing treatment and healthcare interventions.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
