Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing parts and assemblies for high-performance electric motors and controllers used in aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop parts and assemblies for high-performance electric motors and controllers
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept through to production, testing, and verification
  • Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and supporting calculations and analysis
  • Select materials and production methods to develop innovative, high-performance designs
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve design and development challenges, ensuring optimal solutions
  • Support the development of manufacturing processes for new technologies and materials
  • Participate in DFMEAs and other engineering processes to ensure safe, reliable, and high-performing solutions
  • Assist with new business opportunities by providing technical insights into motor and controller applications
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electro-mechanical, or relevant engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in a design and development environment, applying engineering principles to real-world challenges
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5/V6, NX, SolidWorks) for creating design concepts and production parts
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and series production processes
  • Familiarity with drawing control systems such as PLM or SolidWorks PDM
  • Proficient in GD&T to ISO 1101:2017, ASME Y or similar standards
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders
