Software Engineer - Algo Trading

Quant Capital is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their low latency trading team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and/or C++ programming languages, with excellent knowledge of software development principles and practices.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new trading algorithms, improving existing strategies, and working closely with the Quant Team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new trading algorithms using Java and/or C++
  • Improve and maintain existing trading strategies
  • Work closely with the Quant Team to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Develop utility applications and Excel tools to support trading activities
  • Collaborate with traders to understand requirements and resolve issues

Requirements:

  • Computer Science or Machine Learning degree from a top 40 university globally
  • Excellent Java and/or C++ programming skills
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
  • Good knowledge of SQL and database management
  • Experience with FIX protocol and financial exchange connectivity
