We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Solotech, a global leader in live productions, systems integration, and virtual technology. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing equipment installations projects from start to completion, ensuring they are carried out effectively, on budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on initial project briefs, discussing equipment installation requirements, conducting site visits, and developing system designs through consultation and liaison with the installations delivery team.
- Develop Installation Strategy Briefs during design and quotation.
- Confirm project staff, develop installation timelines, and manage project purchasing and procurement.
- Create discrete work packages and manage installations from start to completion, including responding to installation requests, verifying engineering designs, scheduling labor, monitoring project timelines, deliveries, and budgets.
- Ensure Quality Control procedures are written and maintained, and all appropriate documentation is collated and submitted at project completion.
- Issue sub-contractors with work packages, supervise work, and maintain 'As-built' documentation in liaison with the Design & Application Team.
- Manage or oversee the production of engineering plans and schematics for installation projects.
- Produce and carry out risk assessments related to the project, ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Manage and monitor stock levels to ensure ancillary installation equipment is maintained at sufficient levels.
- Familiarize yourself with developments in digital technology and related installations technology and how it can be applied to our projects to enhance our offerings or develop new business.
- Collate Handover Documentation, certification, client snagging list, and snagging rectification program. Complete final stock reconciliation.
- Provide local support to the Sales team, assisting with client visits as required.
- Provide local support to the Service team, assisting with venue visits as required.
- Maintain good communications with other departments involved with or affected by project activity.
- Determine appropriate training for Venue (client) staff in association with the sales and installations teams and implement post-project completion processes.
- Report progress of projects to the Head of Project Management.
- Work with the Accounts department and Account Handler to ensure all projects are invoiced in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Monitor industry pricing trends and report any significant findings when appropriate.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in the field of audio/AV.
- COSHH Awareness preferred.
- Asbestos Awareness preferred.
- Ladder Training preferred.
- At least 5 years' relevant experience as an engineer for a technical installations company.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager within the technical installations sector or similar, with a proven track record.
- Full, Clean UK Driving Licence.
- Right to work and remain in the UK.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate budgets and profit potential and work towards deadlines.
- Technical experience of professional equipment.
- Knowledge of PAVA System Integration and standards.
- Strong knowledge of the principles of electricity.
- Demonstrate proactive behavior and initiative during technical installations.
- Ability to read and understand audio system schematics.
- Knowledge of establishing faults and restoring service requirements.
- Able to work closely with Senior Site Supervisors to oversee a team of installation engineers on multi-room/multi-site installations.
- Ability to identify areas of training for the project delivery team.
- Flexible approach to working hours.

- Knowledge of working to industry-standard accepted practices.
