Engineering Fitter Trainee

Babcock offers a unique opportunity for aspiring engineers to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment. As an Engineering Fitter Trainee, you'll train in core engineering skills like hand fitting, health and safety, and general maintenance, while also receiving specialized training based on your chosen trade route.
You'll maintain electrical equipment and systems, repair mechanical components, and produce sheet metal components and assemblies. Training will take place at City College Plymouth and Devonport Dockyard, with ongoing weekly attendance at college for tutorial sessions and Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.
This role comes with a competitive salary of approximately £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. By joining Babcock, you'll contribute to the company's mission of delivering excellence in defence, aerospace, and security services.
