Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical systems in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and modify existing aircraft electrical systems to integrate hydrogen fuel cell powertrains.
  • Develop new electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS) designs and processes, incorporating high-voltage electrical systems and hydrogen fuel supply systems.
  • Integrate new cockpit systems, including human-machine interface (HMI), to monitor and control the integrated powertrain.
  • Design and develop using Siemens NX software and available tools, including cockpit systems and installations, aircraft electrical systems and installations, and aircraft modifications and repairs.
  • Perform analysis and testing of cockpit and aircraft electrical systems and installations to verify compliance with specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality and conformity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft issues and problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Support and conduct safety assessments and analyses in line with ARP4754B and ARP4761.
  • Prepare and maintain drawings, documentation, records, and reports in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments, best practices, and aerospace applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience using Siemens NX software.
  • Electro-mechanical systems integration experience.
  • Minimum 5 years systems engineering experience.
  • Applicable degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of aircraft design principles.
  • Ability to produce and check engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of V&V process for certification of design.

Additional Information

This is an initial 12-month contract, hourly paid outside IR35.
