About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled underwriter to work on a breadth of commercial products, developing your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for underwriting existing business for our commercial policies, working towards set targets, and collaborating with our sales teams to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite commercial products in line with our high standards
  • Work towards set targets including profitability, conversion, and productivity
  • Develop sales skills and appreciation of sales and underwriting strategy
  • Negotiate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Challenge non-standard underwriting decisions
  • Show courage and innovation by identifying process improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a commercial lines underwriter
  • Knowledge of Professional Indemnity and exposure to Management Liability and Cyber advantageous
  • Logical and analytical thinker with excellent communication skills
  • Ambitious and driven individual with a natural flair for building relationships
  • Degree qualified with Diploma CII or exempt through relevant experience

Salary and Benefits
