Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team in an alternative provision in Ardwick, supporting students with SEMH needs.

Job Overview

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work with small groups of children with SEMH needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates looking to gain experience in an alternative educational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support and work with children with SEN, focusing on their social and behavioural needs
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for pupils to thrive
  • Build strong relationships with children, acting as a mentor and role model
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans

Requirements

  • Possession of a BA Hons degree in Psychology
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Safeguarding, prevent awareness, and FGM training
  • Behaviour management training (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable)

GBP97 per day

8:30 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
