About the role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Brighton, with a background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance software solutions. This is a hands-on role where you'll design, build, and maintain software critical to our flagship access control products.

  • You'll design solutions for new features and bug fixes according to project requirements and specifications.
  • Investigate software defects as assigned and provide timely resolutions.
  • Identify problems or risks early on in the development cycle to help the team avoid or mitigate these risks to ensure efficient delivery of work.
  • You'll play an active part in reviewing your own and other people's code throughout the development process to help the team ensure good coding practices.
  • Proactively contribute to technical discussions and drive issues to closure, providing clear technical updates to project and management teams on a regular basis.
  • Actively contribute towards decisions on overall architecture and technologies used in our software products.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Proven industry experience may be accepted as a substitute.
  • Experience in back-end development, especially in C# .NET, and experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Angular.
  • Experience with .NET Web API.
  • Experience working with SQL Server.
  • An excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with other developers on your team.

The right attitude is more important to us than your skills or experience. If you're excited about a role but your existing experience doesn't match up with every element of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.

We want to collaborate with you and hear your ideas, most of all, we want people to enjoy the journey with us. Take a look at what our team thinks of working here
