Smile Education is currently recruiting on behalf of an all-through School in Rugby, seeking additional classroom support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Daily Rate: £80-£100
Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with challenging behavior
Commitment: Long-term role
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils who may be disengaged, disruptive, or defiant. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive educational environment for learners with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and those with SEMH difficulties.
About the Ideal Candidate
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a degree in Psychology/Special Educational Needs (preferred but not essential).
- Team Teach or similar restraint training (advantageous but not mandatory).
