Lancaster City Council is seeking an experienced Event Management Coordinator to join its busy event management team at The Platform Live Entertainment venue in Morecambe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating, supporting, and delivering a comprehensive programme of events indoors and outdoors, safely and successfully.

They will have knowledge of event logistics and basic knowledge of sound and lighting equipment would be desirable.

The post holder may also be required to work at other Council commercial properties, as well as supporting the delivery of the Council's outdoor events programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Staff supervision whilst on shift
  • Leading a small team of event stewards, bar staff, box office operator, and volunteers

This is a temporary position for 12 months with 28 hours per week, working four days out of seven. Bank Holidays, evenings, and weekends are included in the working schedule.
