About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Trainer to join our team at Howden. As a Software Trainer, you will play a critical role in assisting in the creation and delivery of software training programs for our staff. Your primary responsibility will be to train our employees on Insurance Applications, Microsoft Office, and other bespoke systems to the required levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and deliver IT systems and other projects as required, both in the classroom and virtually.
  • Develop and deliver eLearning materials using various applications, such as Adobe Captivate and Digital Adoption Solutions (DAS) like WalkMe/WhatFix.
  • Maintain accurate training records and metrics.
  • Provide first-line user support and maintain help functions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and other organizations to identify areas for business training support.
  • Deliver Insurance software applications, MS Office (including Teams/O365), and other tailored internal IT applications to advanced levels.
  • Assess individual and group needs, research, plan, and prepare/update new/existing materials.
  • Utilize new technology, such as DAS and Teams, for delivery.
  • Conduct post-training assessments to identify areas of improvement and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
  • Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects/deliveries.
  • Ideal experience with the Acturis system (2+ years).
  • Operate in an honest, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Prior training delivery experience (classroom and virtually).
  • Microsoft Office (including Teams/O365) to advanced level.
  • Experience with crafting/maintaining eLearning (preferably on Adobe Captivate and DAS-style platforms).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, with good planning/time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Able to positively react to change.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure.
  • Team player, networks, and able to build balanced relationships.
