Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Marshall Fleet Solutions (MFS) is seeking highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineers to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing transport refrigeration equipment, calibrating and completing F-Gas certification, and maintaining engineer van stock to enhance service delivery to MFS customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing of vehicle powered & diesel engine road transport refrigeration units
  • Calibrating and completing F-Gas certification (once qualified)
  • Optimise and maintain engineer van stock to maintain and enhance service delivery to MFS customers
  • Ensure relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van daily
  • Maintain product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9001 standards
  • Undertaking company training and self-development through the Certi-Tech certification process
  • Liaise with central co-ordination team, regarding job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and on-line requirements enabling our central team and validation team to maintain a high standard of customer interface – keeping the customer informed
  • Perform other duties and projects which correspond to the general character of the position
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, Health & safety procedures and ISO9001 standards
  • Service technicians may be supervised where applicable
  • Ensure customer service is a priority and conduct & corporate image (self, van, tools, spares) are first rate
Requirements:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C's or above
  • Able to work on own initiative in a safe and professional manner maintaining Customers units and Company property to the Highest Standards
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience would be preferable
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office), PDA use
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Numerate, literate, methodical, systematic
  • Attention to detail and target driven
  • Customer Service Skills & Relationship building skills
  • Punctuality and efficiency
Additional Requirements:
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Extensive travel required, including overnight stays and working on customer sites
  • Needs to be physically fit to perform required tasks
  • Weekend and some alternative shift patterns may be required in line with business demands
