Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Legal & General. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software applications using Java Core, Spring/Quarkus framework, and Linux.
  • Work with microservices architecture and understand computing science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver business value through sound engineering methods and principles.
  • Develop and deploy applications using container-based cloud platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Work with CI/CD methodologies and tools, such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Participate in automated testing and TDD.
Requirements:
  • Core Java development skills.
  • Experience with Java Core, Spring/Quarkus framework, and Linux.
  • Microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of computing science fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of build activities across the SDLC.
  • Relentless focus on delivering business value.
  • Working experience with Kafka for event-driven communication.
  • Experience in Cloud Applications.
  • Docker-based container development and deployment on Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in Automated testing and TDD.
