Job Overview:

This role involves conducting vibro-acoustic analysis/CAE and providing advice to boat programmes to meet NSRP signature targets. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced analyst to join our Signature Team as an Acoustic Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering acoustic predictions using engineering analysis/CAE. You will also liaise with boat programmes, customers, and stakeholders to ensure NSRP signature targets are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting vibro-acoustic analysis/CAE (e.g., FEA/FEM, SEA) and providing advice and guidance to the boat programmes.
  • Liaising with boat programmes, customers, and various stakeholders in the signature enterprise.
  • Undertaking work relating to analysis/CAE, analysis methods V&V, and uncertainty qualification.
  • Supporting product V&V through relevant testing or commissioning programmes to ensure acoustic targets are met.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desire to actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvements of tools, processes, and methods.

Security Clearance: To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently have this in place.

UK Nationality: Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality.
