About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director Project Manager to join our team at Gleeds. As a key member of our Programme and Project Management Team, you will be responsible for managing projects, customer relationships, and coordinating the activities of other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring that project management and/or programme management deliverables meet customer requirements.
  • Manage teams to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures and standards.
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent, or Project Manager.
  • Produce and present reports to customers, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Mentor and coach employees to help them realize their full potential and achieve their career goals.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the business units.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in project management and/or programme management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Broad, in-depth project management and/or programme management experience, post-qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Sound knowledge of the industry, including factors affecting it, and construction methods and materials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent, and/or Project Manager.
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
  • Ability to motivate others and lead high-performance teams.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Methodical approach to work and ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, financial, and numeracy skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers)
  • MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
