Associate Director - Project Management

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. As an Associate Director - Project Management, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal.

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Associate Director to join our Project Management Corporate Occupier team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to lead workstreams on transformation programmes and grow within a fast-paced, intelligent, and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Provide support on major Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery.
  • Ensure client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish success criteria for projects, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Lead on compliance for quality, safety, health, and environment issues on project commissions.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems for project delivery.
  • Lead project planning, including producing detailed project plans.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
  • Lead project finances and advise on Contract Administration processes, claims resolution, and disputes.
  • Manage project information flow between teams and clients through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Prepare formal project progress and other reports.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Ensure project case study, photograph, and project CV files are up-to-date on internal systems.
  • Identify ways to improve project management products and services and refer ideas to line managers.

Internal Management Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge management - ensure key information and learning from projects are input into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
  • Financial management - ensure prompt client invoicing and monitor project financial status.
  • Line management - mentor and develop line reports, carry out performance reviews, and identify skills gaps in the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience working on interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Project).
  • Good analytical skills, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously without disruptions.
  • Demonstrated experience of a willingness and ability to consistently dive deep into project delivery, creative problem-solving, and the ability to push past barriers to achieve full project execution.
