About the Role

The Packing Shift Lead is a critical position within our 24-hour manufacturing operation at our Banbury site. As a leader, coach, and developer of your team, you will ensure sustainable results across the packaging section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and empower your team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and performance (SQCDSM) across the packaging section.
  • Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives to drive a culture of high action orientation, drive for results, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address near misses and safety incidents.
  • Contribute to the production schedule and ensure the updating of OPS boards.
  • Develop associates through Performance Development Plans (PDP) and Gallup action plans.
  • Anticipate and recommend future skills needs for the organization.
  • Coach team members on operational and personal development topics.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing a team through building leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to apply LEAN tools to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing/supply chain job, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
