About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Policy Advisor to join our wastewater team. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our medium to long-term strategies, regulatory compliance, and overall business plan objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, challenge, and develop strategies, standards, and technical guidance to support internal stakeholders in delivering key objectives.
  • Support the team with information for external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and non-government organizations.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to engage with them regarding the development of information, strategies, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure robust governance is applied to data reporting and develop broad knowledge across the team function and other wastewater departments.
About You

We are looking for an analytical and data-focused individual who can analyze, interpret, and present technical data. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be confident in writing clear and accurate documents. The diversity of the role requires you to be driven, agile, and motivated to learn.

You will be organized, demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, and be motivated to achieving results. You will be self-driven and able to manage a demanding workload, with a proven track record of solving problems and finding effective solutions.

We require you to be confident in using a range of Microsoft packages, including Excel for data analysis, Word for reports, and PowerPoint for presentations. Knowledge of the water industry and a good understanding of the regulatory framework are desirable but not essential.
