Health and Safety Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Safety Case Consultant to join our team at Total Resourcing Limited. As a Junior Safety Case Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the production of safety cases and associated assessments for high-hazard category facilities and plants.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality consultancy services that meet and exceed client expectations regarding technical excellence, quality of deliverables, timescales, and cost.
- Contribute to the development of safety cases and assessments for high-hazard category facilities and plants, including fault analysis and the identification and specification of safety systems.
- Produce robust and reasoned arguments in a rational and coherent manner, and participate in the integrated design process and interfacing with engineers and human factors specialists.
- Participate in the governance process, including responding to client, peer review, and safety committee comments, and attending meetings with more senior colleagues and interacting with clients.
- Identify opportunities with clients and support, mentor, coach, and help graduates to develop within the business.
- BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in engineering, science, or a related field of study (preferably with a specialization in nuclear).
- Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years professional engineering/technical specialist experience.
- Basic understanding of the safety case production process and methodologies.
- Familiarity with areas such as decommissioning, optioneering, best practices, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing, and radioactive waste.
