About the Role:

Gap Healthcare is seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team in Westcliff-on-Sea. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Immediately report any unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Work with young people on intervention strategies to promote pro-social behaviour.
  • Deliver direct and individual support to children and young people.
  • Support young people in project and group work.
  • Provide and participate in leisure activities in line with the care and placement plans of the young people.
  • Collaborate as part of a team and support less experienced staff in the operation of the home, following the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Undertake relevant training programs as required by governing regulations and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development.
