We are seeking an experienced Maritime Lawyer to join our team at Jameson Legal.
As a key member of our Shipping team, you will advise on all types of shipping and offshore disputes, including shipbuilding, work-outs, and bank enforcements. You will work closely with clients from Europe and worldwide, including major shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, defence clubs, shipyards, and banks.
Your primary focus will be on litigation and arbitration matters, often involving Commercial Court proceedings in London and international jurisdictions. You may also be involved in institutional (ICC, LCIA, SIAC) or ad-hoc arbitrations.
You will develop your expertise as a contract lawyer, particularly in charterparty disputes and the carriage of goods, and expand your skillset through drafting and advisory work.
This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your career alongside recognized colleagues on significant maritime and offshore matters, supported by a team prioritizing collegiality, learning, and professional development.
To succeed, you should be qualified in England and Wales with experience in litigation/arbitration, preferably with shipping or commodities background. A keen interest in the sector is essential.
