Job Title: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a nurturing and inclusive primary school in New Addington. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for Key Stage 2 children with specific educational needs
  • Implement strategies to help students with autism and other learning challenges access the curriculum effectively
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher to develop individualized learning plans and tailored support strategies
  • Manage challenging behaviours and ensure students feel supported, safe, and included in classroom activities
  • Utilise your experience to offer both pastoral and academic support across multiple subjects

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs
  • Extensive experience supporting autistic children in an educational setting (essential)
  • Training in SEN support highly preferred
