Role Overview
To help win and deliver a wide range of exciting and high-profile projects, a key member of the Savills Birmingham Planning Team will be responsible for contributing to the setting of strategy and team management. This team is one of the largest in the region and is regarded by clients as a market leader, being part of the biggest planning consultancy in the UK, which is over 300 strong with planning specialists covering every land use sector and geographical area in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of business strategies and lead the management of professional teams on projects.
- Have a strong background in business development and be able to contribute to the growth of the team.
- Take responsibility for projects from the initial stages through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Proven ability to win new business and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Skills
- 7 years of experience in planning, with a strong track record of delivering projects.
- Able to think commercially and entrepreneurially, with a focus on driving business growth.
- Detail-oriented and accurate, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team Overview
The successful candidate will work within the Savills Birmingham Planning Team, providing planning services to a diverse range of clients in the Midlands. The team's portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from government-backed Garden Villages and Strategic Urban Extensions to major urban mixed-use and commercial developments, tourism and leisure projects, and rural landowner estate portfolios. The team works with a variety of high-profile clients, including landowners, private individuals, institutions, developers, promoters, national and regional house builders, commercial and leisure operators, and investors.
