Job Title: Global Strategic Planning Manager

The Inspired Thinking Group (ITG) is seeking a highly skilled Global Strategic Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic financial planning process, leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts, and providing actionable insights to our executive team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Develop long-term financial models to support strategic decision-making and evaluate potential business opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the financial planning and analysis processes, including automation and standardisation of reporting.
Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Lead the development and execution of the head office's financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support long-term growth and profitability.
  • Lead financial analysis for major projects, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and board presentations.
  • Maintain and enforce robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
Financial Operations Management:
  • Manage consolidated cash flow, working capital, and financial risks to ensure the company's liquidity and financial stability.
  • Engage with the wider team on financial process design, implementing automation and system improvements where necessary.
  • Support due diligence and financial integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop financial plans and forecasts that align with business objectives.
  • Work closely with private equity investors and other key stakeholders to support company initiatives.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with regional and divisional finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices.
