Key Responsibilities

  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore and engage with technology.
  • Develop individualized learning plans (ILPs) and adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can effectively access ICT content.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking among students.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team, classroom teachers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Participate in school initiatives to promote digital literacy and integrate technology into various subject areas.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching ICT, preferably in a special educational needs context.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with learning difficulties.
  • Proficient in a range of software applications and educational technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.
