Job Summary:

This Audit Accountant role is a key position within our team, responsible for learning and mastering accounting processes and systems, assisting with planning and facilitating engagements, and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating multiple assignments, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Provide exceptional client service by being responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to understanding client goals and needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients through effective communication and a thorough understanding of relevant audit and accounting standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve client services and internal processes.
  • Prepare high-quality work papers, reports, and financial statement drafts, adhering to firm and professional standards.
  • Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities to senior accountants, supervisors, or principals.
  • Maintain the highest level of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
Requirements:
  • One year of similar accounting or auditing experience or administrative support experience in a financial or CPA organization.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization, focus, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel locally to clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or BA/BS degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Previous work experience in accounting or audit in a CPA firm.
  • Experience with ProSystems Engagement software, CCH Knowledge Coach, and QuickBooks.
  • Customer-service oriented, demonstrated by being proactive, observant, knowledgeable, and reliable.
