Job Summary:

This Audit Accountant role is responsible for learning and applying accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures. The successful candidate will assist with planning and facilitating engagements, provide exceptional service to clients, and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and facilitating multiple assignments, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Provide individualized attention and responsiveness to clients, understanding their goals and needs.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with colleagues and clients through effective communication and a deep understanding of relevant audit and accounting standards.
  • Develop a good understanding of client businesses and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare work papers, reports, and financial statement drafts in accordance with firm and professional standards.
  • Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities to senior accountants, supervisors, or principals.
  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
Requirements:
  • One year of similar accounting/auditing experience or administrative support experience in a financial or CPA organization.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization, focus, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Previous work experience in accounting/audit in a CPA firm.
  • Experience with ProSystems Engagement software, CCH Knowledge Coach, and QuickBooks.
