Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant - SEMH Specialism to join our team at Academics Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one and small group support to students, assisting in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), and fostering a positive learning environment. Additionally, they will work closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with PMLD through one-to-one and small group activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs that cater to each student's unique needs.
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Maintain open communication with the SEN team to ensure seamless progress monitoring and adaptation of teaching strategies.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with PMLD in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding policies.

Salary and Benefits:

$460 - $500 per week
