About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Sidley Medical Practice. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to our patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, including additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice and disease management protocols.
  • Work within current CCG policy for prescribing, and maximise the effective use of current clinical computer systems.
  • Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, and undertake all duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Service Development
  • Be involved in developing primary care services to meet the needs of the practice population, and support health development and ensure health promotion work is undertaken to allow the practice population to make informed choices.
Managerial
  • Awareness of, and compliance with, all relevant organisation policies and procedures, including prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, and infection control.
Quality
  • Adhere to GMC Good Medical Practice, and maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Engage with local quality frameworks, including QoF, Quality Improvement, and Prescribing Incentive Schemes.
