Job Title: Accounts Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team at Evelyn Partners. As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing annual financial accounts, and ensuring that financial statements are prepared to a high standard and on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including complex financial statements such as consolidation and IFRS.
- Support the Business Outsource Services Support (BOSS) team on researching technical queries and reporting findings to management.
- Train and develop junior staff.
- Line manage direct line staff, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Support other managers with administrative tasks and projects.
- Ensure quality is consistent and to a high level across all outputs.
- Interact with clients to undertake accounting work, including telephone, email, and occasional on-site visits.
- Work closely with the audit and business tax teams to provide a seamless service to clients.
- Contribute to improving efficiencies in the accounts preparation process.
Requirements:
- Prior experience of computerised accounting packages, including cloud-based software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and staff.
- Results-oriented to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Organisation and time management skills.
- Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and FRS 102) and Companies Act.
Professional Qualifications and Education:
- Strong academic history.
- ACCA or equivalent qualification or qualified by experience.
