About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Physiotherapist to lead our Child Development and Specialist Play teams within the Children, Young People & Families Service Delivery Unit.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of holistic child development in the early years and the wider system of SEND support. They will be responsible for managing a team, making clinical decisions, and working closely with the senior management team to ensure the quality and implementation of new initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Child Development and Specialist Play teams, ensuring high-quality care and services for children with significant development delay or a known medical condition/diagnosis.
  • Work closely with the advanced clinical practitioner to develop and implement new initiatives, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Manage a busy caseload, prioritizing tasks and making decisions with autonomy, guided by trust policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinical quality and outcomes of intervention.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
