About the Role

Milestone Education Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with complex needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and build confidence in their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment that promotes inclusivity and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance student engagement and motivation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with students with autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to providing consistent support to students with diverse needs.
  • An enhanced DBS check, registered on the update service or issued by Milestone within the last month.
