Job Description:

DPD is a leading parcel delivery network, aiming to be the most sustainable delivery company in the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accounting, analysis, and administration of our network of depots and owner driver department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Finance Manager on specific projects
  • Developing strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Management of weekly financial P/L, including revenue analysis, monthly, and year-end reporting
  • Compiling annual plans and presenting to Senior Management team members
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheets
  • Identifying cost savings and efficiencies
  • Review and redesign existing processes to facilitate decision-making

Requirements:
  • Commercially astute and fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 12 months post-qualification practical experience
  • Minimum of a 2:1 degree in any discipline and Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Strong financial awareness, experience of group reporting, and the ability to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones
  • Proven experience of operating at a senior management accountant or equivalent level role
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good planning and organisational skills, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Advanced Excel and good knowledge of reporting tools
  • First-rate communication and interpersonal skills
