Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly budget reports, financial and activity analysis, forecasts, and variance analysis for several of the Trust's Directorates. This will involve ensuring that all financial plans and developments of Directorates align with the Trust's strategies and organisational priorities.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to meet regularly with budget holders at all levels of the Organisation and provide expert advice on financial policy, planning and controls to ensure that budgets are managed appropriately. This will include identifying risks and opportunities and responding to these by formulating and implementing appropriate actions.

About the Role

The post holder will provide financial advice and information to the Directorate Accountant, the Head of Financial Reporting, the Deputy Directors of Finance, and the Director of Finance, to aid in decision making. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, bringing together all skills to provide 24 hour, 365 days a year urgent care to those in need of emergency and non-emergency medical treatment and transport in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Requirements

The post holder will need to have advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, and good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Experience in a financial management role, budget setting and budget monitoring is essential. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible and resilient, with the ability to travel to locations across the Trust.
