Job Title: Environmental Health Consultant

NSF is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Consultant to join our Food Safety and Advisory Services team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to identify their needs, develop and deliver consulting and technical solutions projects, and contribute to the growth of our consulting business and service offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for NSF Food Consulting & Technical Solutions
  • Understand client needs and requirements in food safety, health and safety, and beyond
  • Develop, manage, and deliver consulting and technical solutions projects, liaising with clients to provide updates and project expectations
  • Help grow NSF's consulting offering by contributing to business development goals, developing solutions, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Deliver KPIs related to revenue and margin
  • Deal with enforcement issues, such as enforcement notices, hygiene re-rating cases, and enforcement officer correspondence
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals, estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Coach, mentor, train, and motivate project team internal and external resources, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Qualifications:
  • Experience and detailed working knowledge of various food industry sectors and industry, government, and associations interactions
  • Direct supervisory or leadership experience
  • University degree in Environmental Health, related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Registered with EHRB and strong knowledge of UK food safety, health and safety regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and regulations pertaining to food and health and safety, including GMP, HACCP, GSFI, HASAWA, and other industry best practices
  • Adequate knowledge of principles, practices, and regulations pertaining to food safety product and process development, shelf life, and food labelling, including mandatory and voluntary information and claims across the supply chain
  • Skilled at writing proposals and reports, project management, and document control
  • Skilled at working with and interacting with computer technology, specifically various industry/client programs and databases
  • Customer consultations and/or advisory experience
  • Travel may be required as part of this role and will vary from project to project
