Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Testing Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking testing duties within the scope of your Certificate of Competency, ensuring adherence to AtkinsRéalis rail standards, procedures, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage testing and commissioning of telecoms equipment to meet contract specifications, performance, and safety parameters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, innovations, and initiatives.
  • Encourage and promote the advancement of staff as a route to self-development.
  • Co-operate with performance appraisals, attend training courses, maintain IRSE logbook to an acceptable standard.
  • Progress individual knowledge and skills to promote advancement.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Railway Operational Telecoms.
  • Hold appropriate IRSE telecoms testing license (desirable).
  • Thorough and detailed knowledge of Network Rail Telecoms Standards.
  • Good knowledge of Railway Group NWR company standards requirements.
  • Good personnel management and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure during intense periods of commissioning etc.
  • Current Driving Licence.
  • Willing to work flexibly and efficiently in support of the project.
  • Experience of Fibre Optic testing methods.
  • Experience of Copper cable testing.
