As a Shift Leader at Tesco, you will be responsible for overseeing the store's operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve exceptional results. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating store teams, supporting colleagues, and maintaining a clean and well-presented store environment. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, resolving customer queries, and promoting a positive and inclusive team atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate store teams to deliver an easy and fuss-free shopping experience for customersSupport colleagues in achieving daily priorities and take regular breaksOpen and close the store, ensuring all decisions made are right for everyone's safetyBe the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queriesMaintain a clean and tidy store environmentSupport managers in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity eventsContribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyoneProvide excellent customer service, listening to customers and putting them first in everything you doKeep the team well-informed and up to speed on any communications, changes, or updatesStay knowledgeable about store performance and look for ways to improve and simplify operationsCoordinate store improvements and remove any obstacles that might be getting in the way of great serviceFollow health and safety routines and procedures, and ensure colleagues do the sameRecognize and celebrate colleagues within the team who are providing great service
