Position Overview

This role is pivotal in steering a team of leaders and staff dedicated to formulating strategies and conducting analytics to assess portfolio risks, enhance profitability, and streamline operational efficiency. The primary responsibilities encompass establishing strategic objectives for the team, recognizing patterns, and spearheading initiatives to optimize the balance between risk and return for the business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and oversee organization-wide strategies while managing portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and advocating for large-scale initiatives that enhance risk management, profitability, and oversight of risks within the business unit.
  • Analyze business trends influenced by economic and portfolio conditions, and effectively communicate insights to senior leadership.
  • Mentor team members on best practices for structuring complex challenges, conducting analyses, and articulating the outcomes and implications of their findings.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with peers and counterparts across product, technology, and business control functions.
  • Develop and implement protocols to document client activity processes and routines.
  • Lead and execute business initiatives and processes in collaboration with process owners and business partners.
  • Engage with process owners, key stakeholders, and business leadership to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct analytical assessments and interpret data to uncover strategic opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of AML requirements and Enterprise Standards.
  • Strong desire and capability to learn AML processes, controls, and data lineage.
  • Highly organized with exceptional multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge and influence others to achieve results.
  • Capacity to work independently, set goals, and meet deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in AML processes, including regulatory/audit/issues management.
  • Aim to introduce innovative ideas to drive unique solutions.
  • Experience supporting initiatives related to Consumer and Small Business.
  • Familiarity with Program/Project Management.
  • Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Strategic mindset.
