Job Title: HR & Payroll Advisor

Arthur, a UK-centric insurer with offices in London and Milton Keynes, is seeking a skilled HR and Payroll Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be based within the HR function and will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, as well as some BAU HR responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Ensure timely and accurate production of contractual documents, including new starts, leavers, and contractual changes, across all job levels. Peer review of HR Operations & Payroll Assistant's work is also required.
  • Employee Records: Maintain and update employee records in HR and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy for earnings, deductions, and benefits.
  • Payroll Support: Support monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate handling of pay changes, benefits, and deductions.
  • Absence Monitoring: Monitor and adjust for employee absences accurately across all job levels.
  • Employee Data: Maintain accurate employee data through regular audits and reviews in the HR & Payroll system.
  • Post-Payroll Tasks: Assist the HR Operations & Payroll Manager with post-payroll tasks and reporting.
  • Advice and Support: Provide first-line advice on contracts, policies, and reward frameworks, escalating as needed. Address employee HR and payroll queries, escalating to the Team Lead or Manager when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Working towards CIPP/CIPD is highly desirable.
  • Payroll Experience: Strong experience within a Payroll focused role, particularly with exposure to pensions & benefits.
  • Personal Qualities: Motivated, proactive, and driven individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Employment Policies: Understanding of employment policies and best practice within HR & Payroll.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable with Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
