Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Software to join our team in Gloucestershire. As a key member of our Agile/Scrum software development environment, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions using a range of technologies, including PHP, relational databases, and front-end web technologies.
  • Work closely with the Lead System Designer/Product Design Owner and Software Architect to improve the team's software development activities.
  • Define, educate, and implement coding standards and best practices for the department.
  • Undertake 3rd-line support tasks, diagnosing and rectifying issues on customer systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' commercial experience with PHP, relational databases, and front-end web technologies.
  • Experience with jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Experience with Laravel framework.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector, including software products designed for clinical use.
  • PHP certification.
  • Python.
  • Java.
