Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at a forward-thinking freight forwarder. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of air, road, and sea freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment.
  • Perform manual handling tasks as required.
  • Use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
  • Process paperwork in accordance with our clients' requirements.
  • Assist with breaking and building ULDs (Unit Load Devices) such as PAGs, PMCs, and AKEs.
  • Inspect cargo for discrepancies, damage, or areas of concern upon unloading.

Requirements:

  • Forklift license (counterbalance or reach).
  • Promote a safe and secure working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment checks, including a 5-year checkable employment/education history and DBS check (criminal record check).
